Traffic police issued challan to 60 drivers who flouted traffic rules on Dwarka Expressway. Along with this, vehicle drivers were also made aware. According to the traffic police, there is a ban on plying of two-wheelers, tractor-trolleys, tempos, autos, bullock carts, rickshaws and cycles on the Dwarka Expressway.
A traffic police team with interceptor vehicles has been deployed on the expressway under the leadership of traffic inspector Virendra Kumar. Five zonal officers have also been appointed for traffic operations, including two SIs and three ASIs.
ACP Traffic West Surendra Kaur HPS has got the responsibility for supervision. On Wednesday, the traffic police launched a campaign and issued challans to 60 drivers for disobeying traffic rules, which also included challans for 28 vehicles driving in the wrong direction. Whereas 32 vehicles were issued challan for other reasons.
