Gurugram is set to witness another major demolition drive as HSVP (Haryana Shahri Vikas Pradhikaran) prepares to launch an anti-encroachment campaign across 33 sectors from Monday, April 27.

The action comes five days after the DTP department concluded its own massive demolition drive in the city. HSVP authorities have completed all preparations and issued a public appeal urging Gurugram residents to remove encroachments before April 27, warning that all illegal structures will be demolished using bulldozers.

Property Officer Anupama Malik from HSVP Gurugram-2 provided details in a press conference on Saturday. She stated that a mega campaign will be launched to remove encroachments made by the general public in HSVP sectors. The department has already constituted five teams to execute this operation.

For this special encroachment drive, police force has been demanded from Gurugram police. The campaign will be carried out under heavy police presence. Officials confirmed that targets include illegal encroachments on roads in HSVP sectors.

HSVP officials have warned encroachers to voluntarily remove their illegal structures before Monday, failing which these will be demolished with bulldozer assistance. Special focus will be on illegal road encroachments in HSVP sectors.

SDO Survey Amit Vashisht stated that this action is being carried out under directions of Punjab and Haryana High Court. During the campaign, illegal constructions on right of way, green belt and other public places will be removed. The action will cover illegal car sheds, ramps, guard rooms, stairs, gates, advertisement boards and fencing.

Earlier, the DTP department had removed illegal encroachments made by people outside their homes in over 15 licensed colonies of Gurugram, following orders from Punjab and Haryana High Court. That drive saw over 7,000 encroachments removed in five days.
