Gurugram Incident: An accident similar to Delhi has happened in Haryana. During the rains, a bike rider died after falling into a drain. There was chaos in the family after getting information about the incident. The victim’s family has accused the NHAI of negligence. They say that if there was a cover on the drain, Ajay would not have died. Know what the whole matter is?
Jagran Correspondent, Sohna (Gurugram). An accident similar to Delhi has come to light in Sohna, Haryana. A bike rider died after falling into an open rain drain near Ghamdooj village on Wednesday night. Due to heavy rains, the drain was not visible due to waterlogging and the person fell into the drain from the bike.
At the same time, the family members accused the NHAI of negligence for leaving the drain open. The victim’s family has demanded action.
The incident happened on Wednesday night
Bhondsi police identified the deceased as Ajay, a 45-year-old resident of Ghamdoz village. Ghamdoz resident Manoj told that Ajay has a shop near Ghamdoz toll on Sohna-Gurugram elevated road. Ajay was going from Bhondsi to Ghamdoz on bike on Wednesday night.
Ajay fell in the drain during rain
It was told that Manoj was also following Ajay on bike, there is a drain on the side of the road near Bhondsi Geetanand Ashram. Due to heavy rain, several feet of water was filled on the road. To avoid water, Ajay tried to take the bike from the side of the road, but Ajay fell in the drain built on the side of the road and was swept away in the water.
Victim’s family accused of negligence
Manoj informed the family and the police about the incident. After some time Ajay was taken out and sent to the hospital. Here the doctors declared him dead. At the same time, the family members say that there was no cover over the drain. Ajay has lost his life due to the negligence of NHAI.
