COVID‑19 Vaccination Milestone
On 22 December 2021 the Deputy Commissioner announced that Gurugram had achieved a 100 % second dose vaccination rate, making it the first district in Haryana to reach this target. The announcement highlighted that 128 % of citizens received the first jab and that all residents had completed the two‑dose series.
Security Alert Issued
On 9 May 2025 a public notice was issued stating that the use of certain items was strictly prohibited in Gurugram from 9 May to 7 July 2025 under Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Act, following the Pahalgam attack on 22 April 2025. The alert was disseminated through the official X account.
Heavy Rainfall Advisory
On 1 September 2025 the administration warned that between 3 PM and 7 PM, Gurugram experienced rainfall exceeding 100 mm, prompting the Indian Meteorological Department to issue an Orange Alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall on 2 September 2025. Corporate and private offices were advised to allow employees to work from home.
Infrastructure Development: Metro Rail Extension
On 7 June 2023 the Deputy Commissioner announced that the Central Cabinet had approved a new metro rail link from HUDA City Centre to Cyber City, covering a distance of 28.50 km. The project is part of the broader plan to improve connectivity within the Gurugram district.
