Gurugram police successfully arrested seven members of an organized gang who were behind 69 criminal cases. The gang, consisting entirely of Delhi residents, was involved in systematic thefts of homes and shops across the region. The arrests followed a major breakthrough by the Farrukhnagar crime branch team.
The accused were identified with their complete addresses in Delhi, including locations in Sultanpuri, Shahbad Daulatpur, Bawan, Shahbad Dairy, and Sector-26 Rohini. They were produced before the court where they will face legal proceedings. Police described them as a well-structured criminal outfit that executed thefts with meticulous planning.
According to interrogation reports, the gang would first scout target locations to confirm no one was home. They would then break into shops and residences during nighttime, looting cash and valuable items before escaping easily. On June 25, 2026, they targeted a medical store near Sultanpur mohalla in Farrukhnagar, breaking the shutter and stealing approximately ₹20,000.
The police team traced the gang members and successfully nabbed all seven accused from Kheda Jhalarai in Gurugram. Investigation revealed the gang committed six theft cases across Gurugram district and Delhi. Each accused had a history of multiple criminal offences, with some facing dozens of cases including theft, dacoity, and arms-related charges.
Police records show individual case details: Taruul faced 15 cases including theft, cheating and arms offences; Sanju had 7 cases of theft and cheating; Prahlad Kumar alias Mota faced 2 arms cases; and Sagar alias Suraj led with 45 cases involving theft, cheating, dacoity and arms offences. Combined, these seven individuals accumulated 69 total criminal cases.
The Farrukhnagar crime branch conducted thorough interrogation revealing the gang’s modus operandi. They systematically targeted residential and commercial properties, ensuring escape routes were planned in advance. The operation was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle organized criminal networks in the region.
During the arrest, police recovered stolen property from the accused. Investigators are continues their probe to identify other gang members and pursue additional cases. The accused will remain in judicial custody as legal proceedings commence.
