Bulldozer action swept across Gurugram on Monday, involving the Gurugram Police, the Municipal Corporation and the Haryana Urban Development Authority.
In the Omal Vihar Phase 1 area, police targeted a milk dairy that was being used as a front for illegal liquor sales. The operator, a resident of Nathupur, was already facing six Excise Act cases. Authorities said the dairy covered 200 square yards and was completely demolished.
The Municipal Corporation cleared an illegal occupation of approximately six acres of government land in Baliawas village. An official said the operation was led by an assistant engineer and a junior engineer and involved municipal staff and machinery. The reclaimed land will be kept free of encroachments and the corporation warned that future violations will attract legal action.
HSVP carried out demolition drives in Sector 29 and Sector 48, removing illegal structures such as eateries and shops. An official stated the agency will continue to maintain cleanliness in those sectors and will take strict measures against any future illegal occupation.
