Police said on Thursday, Bhojpuri actress was raped by her Instagram friend in a hotel in Gurugram. Here he was called on the pretext of interview. He told that the Bhojpuri actress said in her complaint that she is a Bhojpuri artist and currently lives in Delhi. According to the police, the victim has a lot of followers on Instagram where she regularly posts her videos.
Instagram friend accused of raping actress
According to the police, she said in her complaint, a few days ago I came in contact with a person named Mahesh Pandey through Instagram, who offered me a job in the Bhojpuri film industry. On June 29, he called me to a hotel in Udyog Vihar area of Gurugram on the pretext of an interview.
The actress alleged, when I reached the hotel, Mahesh had already booked a room, where he took me and started drinking after asking some questions. After this, when I started leaving, he forced himself on me and raped me.
Police registered a rape case against the accused
The Bhojpuri actress told the police that the accused threatened to kill her and later made her call some of his friends, who threatened to post her private videos online. Following a complaint by the actress, an FIR was registered at Udyog Vihar police station on Wednesday (July 19) under IPC sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention) against Mahesh Pandey, who is said to be a resident of Chakarpur area of Gurugram, police said. ACP Crime Varun Dahiya said, we are probing the allegations. The accused will be arrested soon.
