Gurgaon: Amidst the increasing cold, the holidays of students of classes 1 to 3 have now been extended till January 20. After Sunday 21st January, schools will be opened from 22nd January. Schools are to be opened for students of classes 4th to 12th from Tuesday.
Along with this, regarding fourth and fifth class, the District Deputy Commissioner has been told that considering the situation of the district, he can grant holidays at his own level and schools can also demand holidays at their own level. Along with this, classes will be conducted regularly for the students of other middle and senior classes. But schools will now have to make changes in timings. Due to cold in the morning and evening, school timings have been changed from 10 am to 4 pm. All government, private and government recognized schools will have to follow this order.
District Education Officer Indu Bokan said that all the schools have been informed about the orders issued. In such a situation, except for small classes, all the students will attend school regularly. If any school does not follow the order, departmental action will also be taken against them. School timings have also been changed, in such a situation, due to cold wave, schools will be started late, students will not have to go early in the morning in the cold.
Holidays should be given to students up to 8th class
At the same time, talks were held with the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of the District Education Department, in which the Deputy Commissioner has asked to run the schools for the students of class 3rd and 4th. Therefore, all the 4th and 12th class students in the district have been asked to conduct classes regularly. Parent Rakesh Malik says that these holidays should be made mandatory for students up to 8th. Board examinations are necessary for the students of class 9th to 12th, in such a situation they should be called to school. But holidays should be increased for junior students.
