Gurugram – The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) took significant action to improve the city’s cleanliness ranking and provide a cleaner environment for residents. Commissioner Pradeep Dahia personally led an inspection, visiting over a dozen key locations throughout the city.

During the inspection, Dahia expressed dissatisfaction with the cleaning negligence observed at various locations. He issued strict warnings to officials and directed immediate improvements in cleaning operations.

Commissioner Dahia started his inspection at Rajeev Chowk around 9:30 AM, where he criticized the accumulation of mud and debris on the roadside and ordered immediate removal. He also inspected cleaning operations being carried out by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) using machines and suggested ways to make the process more effective.

His tour included Jharsa Chowk, Signature Tower, MDCL Chowk, Atul Kataria Chowk, and CRPF Chowk. During these visits, special attention was paid to removing plastic waste and gardening waste from green belts, as well as lifting roadside debris and C&D waste (construction and demolition debris).

Dahia also directed a special cleanliness campaign along the Shitala Mata temple route. He sent a clear message to officials that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is personally reviewing the cleanliness arrangements in the state capital.

“There will be no compromise on the city’s cleanliness. Action will be taken against those employees and officials who show negligence,” Dahia stated. He also appealed to the public to dispose of waste only in designated places and to support efforts to keep the city clean.

The inspection was attended by Additional Commissioner Ravindra Yadav, Dr. Jayveer Yadav, Joint Commissioner Ravindra Malik, and Senior Cleaning Inspector Devendra Bisnoi, among other senior officials.
