Toll will be charged for travelling between Delhi-Gurugram

Generally, toll is collected for 15 to 20 years on expressways, but an agreement has been made to collect toll for 25 years on Dwarka Expressway. The toll for cars, jeeps, vans is Rs 105 per side and Rs 155 for both sides. The toll rate for buses and trucks is Rs 355 per side and Rs 535 for both sides.

Yes, we are talking about the Dwarka Expressway built between Delhi Gurugram, where toll is going to start soon and for this you will have to loosen your pocket. At the same time, the biggest toll booth in the country is being built at this toll plaza.

One after the other expressways are being built in the country. Some are the most beautiful, some are the longest. The width of some expressways is more, while the speed limit has been increased on some, but today we will tell you about an expressway on which the widest toll plaza has been built. Although the width of this expressway is also not less, but toll booths have been specially built to pass the vehicles quickly. Another specialty of this is that it is also considered to be the first urban expressway of the country.

We are talking about the Dwarka Expressway built between Delhi and Gurugram. This expressway is very special in many ways. The most special thing about it is that the widest toll booth has been built on it till date. Let us tell you that 34 toll booths have been built on this expressway, which is the highest in the country so far. This 16-lane expressway either passes under the ground or above it. Meaning a large part of it has been built elevated. This toll plaza has been built on the Delhi border across Bajghera.

Toll will be collected for 25 years

Generally toll is collected on the expressway for 15 to 20 years only, but an agreement has been made to collect toll for 25 years on the Dwarka Expressway. The toll for one side for car, jeep, van on this is Rs 105 and for both sides it is Rs 155. The toll rate for bus and truck has been fixed at Rs 355 for one way and Rs 535 for both ways.

8 lane road on single pillar

As we have already told you that this is the country’s first elevated expressway, which allows you to travel from above like a flyover. Another special thing about this is that the road on each side of the 16 lane expressway is 8 lane. Not only this, the entire 8 lane road has been built on a single pillar, which is a marvel of Indian engineering. Its service lane is also made of 8 lanes.

The road is 4 storeys

Another special thing about Dwarka Expressway is that there is a point where this road becomes 4 storeys. On this expressway which is about 29 km long, a 4 layer road is seen near Sector 82 of Gurugram. There is an underpass below, above which there is a service lane and above it a flyover and above this the expressway passes. Hence this place has also been named Multi-Utility Corridor.
