A retired soldier was shot dead while coming out of his house in Khandsa village on Thursday. The criminal Dinesh alias Tinu, who lives in the same area, carried out this incident. The soldier fought fiercely with the miscreant. Despite being injured, the soldier confronted him. Meanwhile, after hearing the sound of the bullet, Sohit, a relative of the retired soldier, attacked the miscreant with an iron rod.
Both the injured soldier and the miscreant were taken to Medanta Hospital. Where the doctors declared both of them dead. As soon as the information was received, Sector-37 police station, crime branch and scene of crime team reached the spot. The police took both the bodies into their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
CCTV footage has been captured from the police. The family of 55-year-old retired soldier Sunil lives in Khandsa village. Sunil had left his house in the afternoon to go somewhere. Meanwhile, Dinesh alias Tinu (34), who was already ambushed, opened fire on him.
The miscreant fired several rounds. Sunil was hit by a bullet. Despite being injured, Sunil showed courage and caught hold of the miscreant and attacked him several times with a stick. Meanwhile, Sunil’s relative Sohit reached there after hearing the gunshot and noise.
