Now one mistake on the roads of Gurugram can cost the drivers dearly. A senior police officer said the traffic police will impose a fine of Rs 10,000 for not giving passage to ambulances or fire trucks on the road. DCP (Traffic), Virendra Vij said that the zonal officer of the traffic police will also record its video during this period.
The DCP said that people who do not give way to emergency services like ambulances and fire brigade will get online challan without any delay. The DCP said that this challan will be sent along with the video recording of the incident. Let us tell you that under Section 194E of the Motor Vehicle Act, a fine of Rs 10,000 has been imposed for this offence. This will save the lives of those people who are taken to different hospitals in critical conditions through ambulances.
The traffic police in Gurugram has already created a green corridor for ambulances carrying organs for organ transplant. Various hospitals can be reached through this green corridor. This corridor is saving the lives of many serious patients. Gurugram Traffic Police has said that this fine will be imposed from this week.
Let us tell you that earlier in the year 2023, senior officials of Gurugram Traffic Police had ordered to take action against such drivers who ignore other emergency vehicles like ambulances on the road. Earlier it was reported that the traffic police will impose this fine from the month of December. But now from this week itself, a heavy fine will be imposed for committing a big mistake like not allowing an ambulance on the road in Gurugram.
