PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Gurugram Metro expansion, these 27 stations will be on the 28.50 KM corridor.

People of most of the areas of Gurugram city, not just any particular area, are troubled by the traffic jam. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the virtual foundation stone of the metro extension,

it is expected that work will start at the ground level soon. The 28.50 km long corridor will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5452.72 crore in four years. There will be a total of 27 stations.

The biggest problem of Cyber City, which has made a world class identity in IT, IT enabled, telecom, automobile and garment sectors, is traffic jam. After the expansion of the metro, while the public transport system will be better, the traffic jam will also be relieved to a great extent. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the virtual foundation stone of the metro extension through a rally organized in Rewari on Friday, it is expected that the work will start at the ground level soon.

Will get relief from traffic jam

There is joy among the people after the foundation stone was laid. Everyone was waiting for this day for years. People of most areas of the city, not just of any particular area, are troubled by the traffic jam. One has to think ten times before traveling a distance of a few kilometers within the city. Due to traffic pressure the pollution level always remains high. Metro expansion will solve many problems at once.

According to the plan, the metro will expand from Millennium City Gurugram metro station onwards. The corridor will pass through different areas of the city and connect to the Rapid Metro station in front of Ambience Mall. With this, Sector-34, Sector-37, Kadipur Industrial Area, Basai Industrial Area, Udyog Vihar Industrial Area will be connected to the corridor. Not only this, most of the residential areas of the city will also be close to the corridor.

Corridor will be developed till Dwarka

With this, working people will not have to use private vehicles to go to any industrial area. Other people will also reach near the metro stations on foot. The corridor will be developed from Rejang-La Chowk to Dwarka in Delhi. With this, the metro will have two corridors to reach the Delhi area. By developing the corridor till Dwarka, there will be metro connectivity till the airport.

Experts believe that after the expansion of Metro, there will be a storm of development in Cyber City, because traffic jam is the biggest problem. At present the facility of Delhi Metro is limited to only a few areas of New Gurugram. Similarly, Rapid Metro facility is also available only in some areas of New Gurugram. To avail these facilities, not only people of Old Gurugram but also people of other areas have to use private vehicles.

These 27 stations will be on the corridor

The 28.50 km long corridor will be constructed at a cost of Rs 5452.72 crore in four years. There will be a total of 27 stations. The corridor is to be developed from Millennium City Gurugram Metro Station (formerly HUDA City Center Metro Station) to opposite Ambience Mall. On this Sector-45, Cyber Park,

Sector-47, Subhash Chowk, Sector-48, Sector-72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase-6, Sector-10, Sector-37, Basai Village, Sector-9, Sector -Seven, Sector-4, Sector-5, Ashok Vihar, Sector-3, Bajgheda Road, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector-23A, Sector-22, Udyog Vihar Phase-Four, Udyog Vihar Phase-V and Cyber City. There will be a metro station in.

The corridor will look like a ringman system

  • With this the entire corridor will look like a ringman system. Cyber City is recognized all over the world. Metro expansion will further strengthen the identity, because the problem of traffic jam is like a stain. Business is being greatly affected. It takes a lot of time to travel just a few kilometres. In such a situation, how will development accelerate? – Naresh Aggarwal, Vice President, Haryana Trade Board
  • Was waiting for this day for many years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the dream come true by laying the foundation stone. The picture of the city will change once the corridor is developed. Development will take wings as soon as the traffic jam ends. – Mangatram Bagri, former councilor, Municipal Corporation

Although the entire city is facing the brunt of traffic jam, Palam Vihar area is suffering a lot more. Metro expansion will solve many problems at once. At present the traffic pressure is so much that it becomes difficult to breathe near intersections. – Govind Narayan, advocate and resident of Dharma Colony

As soon as the Metro is expanded, the transportation system of Cyber City will improve. There is a lot of problem right now. Most areas cannot be reached without a personal vehicle. Because of this there is a lot of traffic pressure on the roads. Many roads have become symbols of traffic jams. – Satish Grover, architect and resident of Sector-5
