A series of violent incidents has shaken the Delhi-NCR region, where bike-borne shooters targeted two different fitness centers on Thursday. One attack resulted in the death of a gym owner in Haryana, while another involved firing at a high-profile facility in West Delhi.
In Haryana’s Hansi, Kapil Redhu, who operated the Red Gym, was shot dead near Fawwara Chowk. CCTV footage captured the moment assailants on a motorcycle fired at close range while Redhu was leading an outdoor exercise session for several young men and women.
Simultaneously, shooters opened fire at the 24 HS Fitness gym in West Delhi. This facility is a franchise linked to actor-singer Guru Randhawa. The attack caused significant alarm among local residents.
The Lawrence Bishnoi crime syndicate has claimed responsibility for both incidents through social media. A post from a profile named Anil Pandit stated that the Delhi shooting was a joint operation by ‘Anil Pandit USA’ and the Lawrence group. The gang alleged that the target was chosen because Guru Randhawa was becoming “too close” to actor Salman Khan, who is a primary target of the syndicate. The post mentioned that Randhawa had been previously warned to distance himself from Khan and threatened those who “conspire against the country” with global elimination.
Following the murder in Hansi, another post under the account ‘Hari Boxer Sundar Hanshi’ claimed the killing on behalf of Vikram Kridan, Harman Sandhu, RD Dhaliwal, and Hari Boxer. The gang claimed Redhu was the primary conspirator in firings at Dhani Puriya and Sheikhpura and had disregarded two warnings to stop assisting their rivals. The post included a “wait-and-watch” ultimatum for others aligned with their enemies.
The Hansi-related post tagged allied syndicates and overseas operatives, including Shubam Lonkar, Kala Rana, Tyson Bishnoi, and Aarzoo Bishnoi, mirroring the digital patterns seen in the Delhi shooting claim.
Authorities from the Haryana Police, Delhi Police, and cyber crime units are currently working to verify the authenticity of these claims. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and ballistics evidence from both crime scenes to determine if the same hitmen were used in both operations. Police remain on high alert as the Lawrence network continues to utilize digital platforms from Canada and the US to carry out targeted killings and extortion rackets.
