For the Haryana Assembly elections to be held on October 5, the distribution of voter information slips to voters by BLOs has been started. District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav said that preparations for the elections are going on on a large scale in all the four assembly constituencies of the district, Pataudi, Gurgaon, Badshahpur and Sohna.
This time a unique initiative has been taken by the Election Commission to create interest in voting among the voters. Voter information slips are being distributed by the BLOs of the respective booths. He said that with the aim of ensuring maximum voting, voters are being made aware through sweep activities.
The District Election Officer said that for providing voting related information to the voters, the voter information slip contains information related to the serial number of the voter list, polling station, date of voting, time etc. along with QR code.
He said that the distribution of voter information slips will be completed by the BLOs of all the 1504 booths across the district five days before the polling i.e. by September 30. He called upon all the BLOs to distribute the voter information slips to the voters at the prescribed time, so that the voters do not face any inconvenience in voting on the polling day i.e. October 5.
