Farmers are camping in Noida with their demands. Meanwhile, farmers from Punjab have also announced to march to Delhi on 6 December. The UP government has formed a committee to resolve the farmers’ issues. The committee will submit its report to the government in a month.
Noida: Farmers are protesting in Noida over their demands. Police forcibly removed the farmers from Dalit Prerna Sthal. On Wednesday afternoon, police stopped Rakesh Tikait at Tappal on Yamuna Expressway. He had called a Mahapanchayat of farmers at Zero Point. At the same time, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has raised questions on the government keeping in mind the interests of the farmers. Shortly after his statement, the Yogi government formed a committee to solve the problems of the farmers. The way the Yogi government has formed a committee, it seems that the BJP can adopt a dialogue approach on the issue of farmers. Now it has to be seen what is the future plan of BJP. Will the farmers’ movement drag on for long or will the BJP be ready to talk to the farmers soon.
Jagdeep Dhankhar said in Mumbai
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar attended the centenary celebrations of the Central Cotton Technology Research Institute in Mumbai on Tuesday. He said that farmers are in crisis and are agitating. This situation is not good for the country. The government needs introspection.
Jagdeep Dhankhar asked why there is no dialogue with the farmers. Was any promise made to the farmers? There was a protest last year, there is a protest this year too and time is passing, but we are not doing anything. Dhankhar said that Agriculture Minister, I am feeling hurt. My concern is why no initiative has been taken till now. You are the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. When Dhankhar was saying these things, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan was sitting there. Shivraj only kept listening to Dhankhar.
Yogi government formed a committee
On the other hand, the Yogi government constituted a five-member committee on Wednesday night to solve the problems of farmers. IAS Anil Kumar Sagar will head the committee. Apart from him, Piyush Verma Special Secretary Infrastructure and Industrial Development, Sanjay Khatri ACEO Noida and Saumya Srivastava ACEO Greater Noida, Kapil Singh ACEO YEIDA have been nominated as members. The committee will submit its report and recommendations to the government in a month.
Satyapal Malik has cornered the government on the issue of farmers
Let us tell you that before Jagdeep Dhankhar, Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Satyapal Malik has also raised the issue of farmers. However, he had cornered the government after stepping down from the post of Governor. Malik had directly put PM Narendra Modi in the dock. He had even called Modi arrogant. Satyapal Malik said that he had gone to Modi to discuss the issues of farmers, but he had a fight with PM Modi. He had said these things in a meeting in Jaipur.
