Delhi Police have registered a case after a woman alleged she was gangraped on a private bus in the capital, officials said on May 14, 2026.
Based on the woman’s statement, an FIR has been registered and an investigation has been launched into the matter. Police said the bus has been seized and both accused have been arrested. Officials added that the probe is being conducted from all possible angles.
The bus involved in the incident has been identified as Royal Travels & Cargo, whose head office is listed at Shop No. 10, Basement, Shri Hari Plaza, Faridabad.
AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj commented on the incident, saying “Big Shame – Nirbhaya repeated. 30-year-old woman was picked up in the bus at night on pretext of asking time. Then she was raped by multiple people in the moving bus for around 2 hours.”
According to Bhardwaj, the bus kept moving in Rani Bagh area of Delhi covering approximately 7 km during the incident.
The Delhi Police has seized the bus and is continuing its investigation to identify all individuals involved in the alleged crime.
