Smart City : Emergency help will be available through video calls; Gurugram police will connect 70 smart points to Dial 112.

These emergency call points will be installed by Gurugram Police with the help of GMDA at about 70 places in the city under the Smart City Project, the aim of which is to provide immediate help to the general public in any emergency situation.

Smart City: Taking a major step towards making Gurugram safer and smarter, Gurugram Police has begun preparations to install Video-Based Emergency Call Points across the city. Under the direction of Police Commissioner Vikas Arora, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Dr. Rajesh Mohan, successfully conducted a trial of these modern call points.

Gurugram Police, with the assistance of the GMDA, will install these emergency call points at approximately 70 locations across the city as part of the Smart City Project, with the aim of providing immediate assistance to the public in case of any emergency.

This new system will completely transform the city’s security system and allow citizens to connect directly with the police:

Direct Contact: These points will be linked to Dial 112 and will have direct connections to the main control room at the Police Commissioner’s office as well as the relevant police station.

Immediate Help: In an emergency, any citizen can immediately register their complaint or request for help with the control room via video calling by pressing a button at the point.

24×7 Availability: These points will be available to assist people day and night. Beacon lights will also be installed on them for easy identification from a distance.

Two-Way Communication: This system will also function as a two-way video communication system. If connection is lost during a call, the control room will automatically re-establish contact with the victim and provide immediate assistance.

The police believe that establishing these points will not only help curb criminal elements but also make Gurugram a safer city. Additionally, these platforms can be used to make public announcements to the general public.

Good news for residents of Gurugram and Rewari, Vande Bharat Express will be able to travel to Rajasthan. Check out the timetable.
