Now travel between Gurugram and Delhi will be easy, 6 lane road will be built

Haryana and Delhi governments together have taken another step towards strengthening the connectivity between Gurugram and Delhi. The width of the road from village Gwal Pahari on Gurugram-Faridabad road to Andheria turn in Delhi will be increased to 30 meters. At present this road has two lanes, there is a plan to make it three lanes on both sides.

Officials say that after its construction, drivers will not have to get stuck in traffic jams. At present, the width of this road is seven and a half meters at some places and 10 meters at others. Due to this, there is often traffic jam in Delhi area. To implement this scheme, the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Center (UTTIPEC) has sanctioned Rs 50 crore under the Urban Development Fund. This amount has been transferred to PWD of Delhi. The land acquisition process will be started.

There is a plan to increase the width of about 8.8 km long road from Gwal Pahari to Andheria Mor. On April 24, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Delhi Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar. In this, 29 officials of Delhi’s Urban Development Department, National Capital Region Planning Board, UTTIPEC, Revenue, PWD and Transport Department of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, besides Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Town and Country Planning Department, National Highway Authority of India participated. . In this meeting, Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar had told that a meeting of UTTIPEC was held under the chairmanship of the Governor of Delhi on April 19.

Steps will be taken towards land acquisition

In this, the plan to increase the width of this road has been approved. PWD officials had told in the meeting that the Delhi National Capital Territory Government has given preliminary approval to acquire land for this road. Now after taking approval from the Finance Department, steps will be taken towards acquiring the land. Regarding this, on May 15, Special Secretary, Urban Development of UTTIPEC, KS Meena IAS, informed all the officials of Haryana and Delhi Government about the plan prepared in this meeting. Let us tell you that at present there is a two-lane road in Gwal Pahari of Gurugram. Now it will be widened.

There will be less pressure on the highway

At present the traffic pressure on Delhi-Jaipur Highway is high. Every day about one to 1.25 lakh vehicles enter Delhi through this highway. Approximately the same number of vehicles come to Gurugram. Drivers of MG Road, Golf Course Road, Golf Course Extension Road, Gurugram-Sohna Road use the Delhi-Jaipur Highway to go to Delhi, due to which there is a traffic jam on the Delhi border. With the aim of reducing this pressure, a plan has been made to improve road connectivity from Gwal Pahari village to Andheria Mor. It is believed that after the commencement of this road, the traffic of this area will reach Delhi through it. This will reduce the traffic pressure on Delhi-Jaipur Highway.
