Lok Sabha Election Result: According to the counting and trends so far, NDA seems to be getting 292 seats and INDIA alliance is getting 233 seats. According to this, NDA has the majority to form the government at the center but INDIA alliance can also form the government.
The Lok Sabha election results are coming on Tuesday, June 4. Counting of votes is going on. According to the counting and trends so far, NDA seems to be getting 292 seats and the INDI alliance is getting 233 seats.
According to this, NDA has the majority to form the government at the center, but the INDI alliance can also form the government. Now you must be thinking that when NDA has the majority, how can the INDI alliance form the government? Let us tell you…
272 seats are required to form a government at the center.
If the INDI alliance gets 233 seats, then the alliance of opposition parties remains just 39 seats away from the majority. In such a situation, to get the majority, it will have to form an alliance apart from the existing partner.
Mamata Banerjee can give support
When the opposition parties united and formed the INDI alliance, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also attended the meetings. It was Mamata who proposed the name of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for INDI. However, due to lack of consensus on the issue of seat sharing in Bengal, Congress and TMC decided to contest the elections separately. Even then Mamata Didi had said that she is with INDI.
In such a situation, it is believed that if INDI tries to form the government, it can get support from Trinamool Congress. TMC has won 14 seats so far, while it is leading on 15. That is, if TMC wins these 15 seats too, then it will have some 29 MPs. Even after getting support from Mamata, INDI alliance will need 10 more MPs.
In such a situation, it is being speculated that INDI alliance can try to get JDU in Bihar and Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh on its side.
If Nitish joins hands then…
JDU chief Nitish Kumar broke ties with the Grand Alliance in January 2024 and formed a government with the BJP. Earlier, Nitish Kumar had united the opposition parties to form the INDI alliance. When Nitish left the Grand Alliance, Lalu had expressed the possibility of returning after the Lok Sabha elections.
In such a situation, political experts believe that if INDI gives a good offer to Nitish Kumar, then Nitish may return, because Nitish Kumar has not said anything on the election results so far.
