The Khap Panchayats of Haryana have openly supported the farmers’ agitation and the indefinite hunger strike of Jagjit Singh Dallewal. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher and wrestler Bajrang Punia also attended the Maha Panchayat held in Hisar.
Haryana’s Khap Panchayats have openly supported the ongoing farmers’ agitation at Shambhu and Khanauri border and the indefinite hunger strike of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal. This was announced in the Khap Mahapanchayat held in Bas village of Haryana’s Hisar district today. Kisan Mazdoor Morcha convenor Sarwan Singh Pandher and wrestler Bajrang Punia also participated in the Mahapanchayat. Representatives of 102 Khaps, leaders of Samyukta Kisan Morcha and leaders of various farmer organizations also reached the grain market of Bas village.
During the Panchayat, the Khap representatives appealed to all the farmer organizations to unite and protest. Bajrang Punia targeted the central government and said that the government’s job is to create divisions, it wants to suppress the movement but we appeal to all the farmer organizations to come together in this fight and fight this battle with unity. Everyone will fight together, only then the farmers’ demands will be accepted and victory will be achieved. He said that he always stands with the farmers.
Now the atmosphere is being created in Haryana as well: Pandher
Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that we want all farmer organizations to come together and join the movement. Pandher said that we held 14 meetings before starting the farmer movement. We tried to bring farmer organizations together but no one came together. We started the movement in Punjab, an atmosphere was created there. Now the atmosphere is being created in Haryana as well. He said that farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal has been on hunger strike for 34 days and his condition remains critical. He said that the Delhi march was not ended but postponed. If the government does not accept the demands, the movement will start again.
Punjab bandh tomorrow, Mahapanchayat on Khanauri border on 4th
Punjab bandh has been declared tomorrow i.e. on 30 December due to the ongoing farmer agitation on Shambhu and Khanauri border. Due to this, all services except emergency services will be closed. After this, a huge Kisan Mahapanchayat will be held on Khanauri border on 4 January.
