The district court has extended the judicial custody of Sikandar Choudhary, son of senior Congress MLA Dharm Singh Choudhary and Managing Director of Mahira Homes Group, who was arrested in a money laundering case, till August 28. Sikandar Choukkar was produced in the court of Sessions and District Judge Subhash Mahala through video conferencing on Wednesday. Sikandar Choukkar was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 30 April.
Judicial custody extended for 14 days
Advocate Prashant Yadav, who appeared on behalf of Sikandar Choukkar, said that other documents have also been submitted in the court in this case. Investigation is still going on in the case. After hearing both the parties, the court has extended the judicial custody of Sikandar Choukkar, the accused in this case, for 14 days.
These allegations have been made against Sikandar Choukkar
Residential projects were launched by Mahira Homes under the affordable housing policy. It is alleged that the accused have used the amount of more than Rs 300 crore taken from flat buyers in the projects for their personal work.
Apart from this, there is an allegation of taking a license to develop a society with a fake bank guarantee. Congress MLA Dharm Singh Choukkar, his two sons Sikandar and Vikas Choukkar are accused in this case.
