Haryana Election 2024 Update: Nominations will be filed from 5th to 12th September

Haryana Election 2024 Update: The district administration has intensified the preparations for nomination for the assembly elections. Nomination papers can be filed from September 5 at the SDM offices of Gurgaon, Pataudi, Badshahpur and Sohna from 11 am to 3 pm. While filing nomination, there should not be more than four people with the candidate. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the nomination process for the Assembly elections-2024 will continue from September 5 to 12. Nomination papers will not be taken on Sunday, September 8. According to the rules of the Election Commission, the age of the candidate is mandatory to be 25 years.

Name in voter list is a must

Also, the candidate should be a permanent resident of Haryana. His name should be in any assembly voter list of the state. If the candidate belongs to a registered party, then he will have one voter proposer. An independent and unrecognized political party candidate should have 10 proposers. If the candidate comes from another district and fills the form for election here, then he will get his voter list verified.

While filling the nomination form, the candidate will have to submit his three latest passport size photographs, a copy of the certificate of educational qualification, a copy of the new bank account opened for the election and an affidavit, which is called Form 26. In this affidavit, the candidate has to give complete details of his movable and immovable property, loan, liability, criminal record.

The candidate will bear all the expenses from his bank account

At the time of nomination, only five people including the candidate should be present in the court premises of the Returning Officer cum SDM. The candidate cannot bring more than three vehicles within 100 meters of the SDM office. The candidate will carry out all the election transactions from his new bank account.

To keep account of the election, an expense register will be kept with the candidate and one in the election office. A candidate can spend Rs 40 lakh in this election. For nomination, a general candidate will have to deposit a fee of Rs 10,000 and a Scheduled Caste candidate will have to deposit a fee of Rs 5,000.

Road shows should be only for election campaign: Nishant Yadav

Nishant Yadav said that assembly elections are an important part of our democratic system. It should be conducted peacefully so that our area and state maintain a clean image. There should be no conflict between us over any issue during elections.

Especially during public meetings or road shows, workers of other parties or candidates should not create disturbance. The route which will be told to the administration while applying for road shows cannot be changed after getting permission. Officials of political parties will keep in mind that if a party is taking out its road show and theirs is also on the same route, then they should pass through there after two-three hours.

Traffic should not be obstructed due to road shows

Only election campaigning can be done in road shows, there should not be any violent demonstration. Apart from this, traffic should not be obstructed due to road shows. Political parties will cooperate with government officials in getting every work of the election completed. There should not be any hindrance in the work of elections. The district administration will treat all parties and candidates equally. The venue for the public meeting will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. No candidate will organise a public meeting in the restricted area. Do not use any unfair means such as intoxicants, cash etc. in campaigning and do not put pressure on voters for votes.
