Gurugram’s first model Sanath road will connect NH-48 to Old Delhi Road.

Gurugram. The Chief Minister inspected Haryana’s first ‘Complete Streets’ in Udyog Vihar Sector-18 on foot on Wednesday. During this, he said that ‘Complete Streets’ is a symbol of the government’s commitment, in which every class, child, elderly, woman or Divyang should get the right to walk in the city with respect and safety. Sanath Road has been named Complete Streets, which connects NH-48 to Old Delhi Road.

The Chief Minister said that the priority of the government is not only the construction of infrastructure, but human development. This Complete Streets or Sampoorna Sadak project has been implemented on Sanath Road and Gali No. 7 of Udyog Vihar, which is a total of 2.4 km long and 30 meters wide. This road connects Old Delhi Road to Airtel Office (NH-48). The total cost of this project has been around Rs 23 crore. In which GMDA, Municipal Corporation Gurugram, DHBVN and Rahgiri Foundation contributed together. It has wide and shady footpaths for pedestrians, safe tracks for cyclists. Also, more than 20 thousand flower plants have been planted. Four trained street marshals are also deployed 24 hours to ensure safety. This model will become an inspiration for other cities of entire Haryana and the country in the coming times. GMDA will redevelop 100 km of roads on this model.

Chief Minister termed Pahalgam terror attack as reprehensible

Chief Minister Naib Singh strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the country is united in such difficult times and is not going to be afraid or bow down to terrorism. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the civilians killed in the attack and expressed deep condolences to their families. He said that this is a cowardly act, which took the lives of innocent people. We stand with their families. The Chief Minister also spoke to the family members of Vinay Narwal who lost his life in the Pahalgam terror attack. He said that the Haryana government stands with the family in this hour of grief.
