Gurugram Weather news: Heavy rains occurred in Gurugram, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi, on Wednesday. Due to the rain, the city was waterlogged. Due to this, there was heavy traffic in areas like Bus Stand Road, New Railway Road, Old Railway Road, Sheetla Mata Road, Old Delhi Road, Khandsa Road, Basai Road etc. On the other hand, people were troubled near Golf Course Road, SPR, Sector-46, Sector 56, Sector-40, MG Road and Gladia Market in New Gurgaon.
According to the Meteorological Department, 34.0 mm of rain was recorded in the city till 3 pm on Wednesday.
Traffic jam in many areas
Long queues of vehicles were seen at Sarhaul toll and Udyog Vihar. Traffic kept crawling due to rain and waterlogging at other points of the highway. The same situation prevailed in New Gurgaon and Old City. Traffic was also slow on Sohna Elevated.
Traffic police were deployed at various places since the rain started, but the situation became normal after several hours.

People stuck in the jam
Apart from Sarhaul toll, there were long lines of vehicles in Udyog Vihar adjoining it. Due to the jam, the traffic on the service lane of the highway was slow. Due to this, the traffic started crawling towards Udyog Vihar as well. The traffic coming on the highway took fifteen to twenty minutes. Apart from this, there was heavy traffic at Shankar Chowk, IFFCO Chowk. Vehicles were seen getting stuck at Rajiv Chowk. Due to rain, there was a jam situation near the highway at Beriwala Bagh.
