Several provisions have been made in the HSPCB’s Winter Season Work Planning 2025-26. Under the plan, strict action has been initiated to curb vehicular pollution.
The HSPCB has initiated the process of removing diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years from the roads. Officials stated that approximately 1.5 million such vehicles have been identified in both Gurugram and Faridabad districts. The district transport departments and traffic police have been directed to take action against these old and highly polluting vehicles.
Registration on the portal is mandatory
Builders of all construction and development projects larger than 500 square meters will be required to register themselves on the state’s dust control portal. HSPCB officials will conduct regular inspections of registered sites. Violations will be prosecuted. On the other hand, the corporation will increase the number of water sprinklers from eight to 40.
DG Sets Completely Banned
To improve air quality, the Gurugram administration has issued an order banning diesel generators. This ban will apply to all sectors except essential services. Industries have also been directed to adopt green fuel (such as PNG or clean energy sources). Failure to do so will result in fines.
