Gurugram Pollution: Pollution hits Gurugram, third phase of GRP implemented, ban on these activities

Gurugram News: In view of the increasing pollution in Cyber City Gurugram, the grape rule has been implemented again. Gurugram Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr. Narhari Singh Bangar appealed to the citizens of Gurugram to follow the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) rules seriously and not do any activity that could increase the pollution level.

The third phase of GRP has been implemented by the Air Quality Management Commission in the entire Delhi-NCR region including Gurugram, in which many types of activities that increase pollution have been completely banned.

A ban has been imposed on new construction

The Municipal Commissioner said that as per the restrictions implemented in the third phase of GRP, except a few projects, all other construction and demolition related activities have been banned. The projects which have been exempted include railways, metro, airport and inter state bus terminal, national security, defence, hospitals, highways, roads, flyovers, power transmission, sanitation projects like sewerage and water treatment plants etc. It is mandatory to follow C&D waste management rules and dust control norms in these projects also. Apart from these, all other construction and demolition activities are banned.

Action will be taken against those who do not follow the rules

Along with this, the Corporation Commissioner also said that if any person does such activities then action will be taken against him as per rules. Along with this, he said that under the Graded Response Action Plan, a complete ban has been imposed on dumping of debris and garbage, uncovered construction material, transportation of debris and garbage, burning of any kind of garbage and use of coal and wood in tandoor.

All citizens should ensure that they do not do prohibited activities and if any other person does such activities then they should stop him. Inform Municipal Corporation Gurugram about it. Those who violate the rules are being monitored and fines are also being imposed on them as per rules. The Municipal Commissioner said that a fine of Rs 7 lakh 50 thousand has been imposed on 434 violators who violated the GRP rules.
