The work of construction of the initial structure of the metro running in Gurugram can start in August. The work of soil testing on its route has been completed. The test report has also been received by Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC). After this, the green signal has been given to the construction of pillars.

Metro work will pick up pace

Metro work in Old City will pick up pace as soon as DDC is finalized. Under this agreement, a company will be appointed which will design the metro project in Old City. The company will decide the design from the pillar design of the metro to the station.

The company will prepare the blueprint of the entire structure of the metro and submit it to HMRTC. The company will also decide the construction of the proposed stations in Old City. The company will also decide how much land is needed for the construction of the station, pillar and track. Along with this, a technical consultant will also be appointed. Tenders were sought for this till June 27.

27 stations will be built

Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) has been specially formed to build the stations. To connect the new city to the old, 27 stations will be built on the 28.05 km long metro line. Sector-45, Cyber ​​Park, Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector-48, Sector-72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase-6, Sector-10, Sector-37, Basai Village, Sector-9, Sector 7, Sector 4, Sector-5, Ashok Vihar, Sector-3, Bajghera Road, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Sector-23A, Sector-22, Udyog Vihar Phase-4, Udyog Vihar Phase-5, Cyber ​​City to Dwarka Expressway (Sector 101) are included.
