Gurugram news: A large number of devotees from Haryana’s Braj region and Rajasthan’s areas attended the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra under the leadership of saints and sages. More than 2500 security personnel were deployed for a peaceful journey and drones were also used for monitoring. The police administration was vigilant in view of last year’s violence. Blockades were put up at several places and vehicles were searched.
On the first Monday of Sawan, the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra was taken out under tight security arrangements under the leadership of three hundred and fifty sadhus and saints. The Yatra was completed peacefully in the presence of more than two and a half thousand security personnel.
The Yatra was monitored and videographed by drones throughout the way. All vehicles including those going for the Yatra were thoroughly searched. This time the police administration was already alert in view of the violence after stone pelting at Nalhad Mahadev temple in Nuh last year. Preparations were being made for this for several days. A large number of devotees from Haryana, Braj region and Rajasthan areas participated in the Yatra.
Yatra started from Gurugram
Devotees of the city gathered at Sector-10A Shri Krishna temple at 8 am on Monday in the Yatra started from Gurugram. From here, the Jalabhishek Yatra left for Nuh under the leadership of Sadhvi Atmchetan Giri of Rajiv Nagar Gufa Wala temple, Swami Muktanand Maharaj of Sarai Ashram, Swami Amardas Maharaj of Babada Bakipur, Swami Sevadas Maharaj of Kadipur, Swami Fatenath Maharaj of Sarai Ashram and Sadhvi Adishakti of Bhimgarh Khedi temple.

A large number of devotees arrived for this yatra from Pataudi of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Karnal, Palwal, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Braj region of Haryana and areas of Rajasthan. The yatra was welcomed at many places including Bhondsi, Sohna, Kanwarsika of Nuh, Rewasan. People of the Muslim community welcomed the yatra by showering flowers.

Thousands of devotees reached Nalhad Mahadev temple of Nuh at 11:30 am dancing and singing with the chants and bhajans of Bholenath. Here Lord Bholenath was anointed with Ganga water. After Jalabhishek in the temple, the yatra reached Jhirna temple of Firozpur Jhirka and then Radha Krishna Shringar temple of Punhana at 4:30 pm.
Policemen walked along with the Yatra
As soon as the Yatra started from Gurugram, a large number of policemen also walked along for security arrangements. Policemen were deployed at various places. Drones were also monitored on the way. By setting up check posts at Bhondsi, Raipur, Rewasan, Nuh in Sohna, all the vehicles going towards Nuh including the vehicles involved in the Yatra were searched.
To prevent the spread of rumors, internet services were shut down in Nuh for 24 hours from 6 pm on Sunday. Apart from this, CCTV cameras were also installed at various places for surveillance. Vajra vehicles, Varun vehicles, riot control vehicles, RAF teams were also deployed with sticks and helmets in the security arrangements at many places in Sohna, Nuh.
Commandants were deployed on Aravalli Hills
On 31 July 2023 last year, there was stone pelting near the Nalhar Mahadev temple in the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra taken out by Hindu organizations in Nuh. After this, violence spread to Nuh, Gurugram and other places. In this, six people were killed and more than 80 were injured. In view of the violence that took place last year, the administration had already prepared for a peaceful Yatra.
The Nalhad Mahadev temple and the Pandava period Shiv temple located on Tijara Road are built in the foothills of the Aravalli valleys full of natural beauty. Last year the miscreants had hidden in the hills behind the Naleshwar temple. This time, a strict vigil was kept with drones for the inspection and security of these Aravalli hills.
Commandos were also deployed near the hill. Dog squads were already deployed at every temple where the Yatra reached. An advisory was also issued regarding the entry of heavy vehicles in Nuh. Due to no vehicles and 90 percent of shops being closed, an undeclared curfew like situation was seen in Nuh. It was told that people of the Muslim community had closed the shops on their own.
