Gurugram. Preparations have been started to build a charging station at the bus depot of Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) located in Sector-10.
64 charging points will be made here. An application has been made by GMCBL management to South Haryana Electricity Distribution Corporation (DHBVN) for electricity connection of five MVA capacity in the depot.
GMCBL will start operating 100 electric buses on various routes in Gurugram city. Electric buses are expected to be available in the next six months. Recently, the Director General of Transport Department discussed electric buses in a meeting with GMCBL officials. It was said that electric buses would arrive in six months.
In such a situation, preparations have been started to build a charging station in the bus depot located in Sector-10. The population of Gurugram has been estimated at 18 lakh by GMCBL. Jitendra Garg, Joint CEO of GMCBL, said that he has applied for electricity connection in DHBVN. An amount of approximately Rs 1 crore has been deposited for electricity connection. After getting the connection, points will be prepared in the charging station.
