Gurugram News: Security arrangements are not good in Gurugram’s largest District Industrial Training Institute (ITI) located on Mehrauli Road. The boundary wall has not been built here for almost three years. In such a situation, students, especially girl students, do not feel safe in the institute without a boundary wall. This building of the institute is becoming a temple of education during the day and a gambling den at night.
About three years ago, the outer wall of the institute was declared dilapidated and was demolished. But till now even the debris of the broken wall has not been removed. The incomplete wall has not been completed till date. In such a situation, anti-social elements enter here and gamble etc. in the institute at night.
Wall not built, government property is being damaged
The work of building a new wall of the institute had started a long time ago, but the workers returned midway. After this, let alone resuming the tender process, even the debris of the broken wall has not been removed.
Currently more than 1500 students are studying in the institute. Keeping in mind the safety of the students, it is necessary that this wall should be built soon. Many times incidents like molestation of girl students have also taken place here.
Many cases of assault and theft have also come to light. The work of building the broken wall is the work of the Public Works Department (PWD). The department has been requested by the ITI Principal to get the wall built as soon as possible by sending a letter in writing more than 50 times. Apart from this, the District Deputy Commissioner and Additional Deputy Commissioner were also informed about the negligence being taken in the security arrangements regarding the broken wall.
On the spot, the DC and ADC called the concerned XEN and instructed him to build a new wall as soon as possible. Even after this, no action has been taken till date. Here, anti-social elements enter the building at night and also damage government property.
