Gurugram news: The team of Cyber Thana West has arrested a fraudster who used to dupe people in the name of completing tasks. The arrested accused has been identified as Shagun Dubey, resident of Shyam Park Extension, District Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh). The police arrested the accused from Delhi Airport and after presenting him in the court, took him on two-day police custody remand.
ACP Cyber Priyanshu Dewan said that the accused was duping people from Thailand for the past two months. On getting information about him, the police had issued a look out circular notice against him.
During police interrogation, it was found that the accused had set up a fake tour and travel company. The accused used to make fake Aadhar cards which were used to open bank accounts and those bank accounts were used in cyber fraud. Another accused Gautam Talwar has already been arrested in the above case.
Let us tell you that a complaint was lodged in Gurugram regarding cheating of about 58 thousand rupees in the name of completing a social media based task. On this complaint, a case was registered under the relevant sections in Cyber Crime Police Station West Gurugram.
