Gurugram. Bicycles will be provided by the Education Department to Scheduled Caste students studying in government schools.
Bicycles will be distributed to those students whose school distance from their home is two kilometers or more. Students can buy the bicycle of their choice, For this, a cycle fair will be organized in the morning on 26th September at Government Senior Secondary School, Civil Lines. Dealers of various companies have been invited to the fair with their cycles. In the fair, students from all four sections of the district will be able to choose the bicycle of their choice.
The Education Department will distribute bicycles to Scheduled Caste students of classes 6th, 9th and 11th. District Education Department’s AEO Jagdish Ahlawat said that the department has also fixed the rates for bicycles. In the sixth class, the price of 22 inch bicycle for students of class 6 has been fixed at Rs 3000 and for the 20 inch bicycle of girls, it has been fixed at Rs 2800 including GST. The price for purchasing a 20 inch bicycle has been fixed at Rs 3100 for 9th class and Rs 3300 for boys and Rs 3100 for girls in 11th class. The student who will buy the bicycle,
