Gurugram from Mewat: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released another list of candidates for the assembly elections in Haryana. The special thing is that it also includes the names of two Muslim candidates. The BJP has expressed confidence in the leaders of the minority community on two seats of Muslim-dominated Mewat. The party has given tickets to Naseem Ahmed from Ferozepur Jhirka and Aijaz Khan from Punhana. At the same time, Sanjay Singh has been made the candidate from Nuh seat. Both the leaders joined the BJP five years ago and have been working hard for the party since then.
Haryana in Muslim dominated Mewat
There are three assembly seats in Haryana in Muslim dominated Mewat, Nuh, Punhana and Ferozepur Jhirka. In the area considered most difficult for BJP, the party has played a big gamble by fielding two Muslim candidates. Naseem Ahmed, who has been fielded from Ferozepur Jhirka, has been elected MLA from this seat earlier also. In 2014, he won the assembly election on the ticket of Indian National Lok Dal (INLD).

Naseem Ahmed, who joined the saffron party 5 years ago, is also holding the post of state secretary in BJP. He has also been the president of BJP Minority Morcha in Haryana. Naseem has made his mark in BJP as a young and minority face. He is seen working to strengthen the party in Ferozepur Jhirka as well as other parts of the state.
Aijaz Khan
Aijaz Khan, who has been made the candidate from Punhana seat, is the son of former Haryana government minister Chaudhary Sardar Khan. Aijaz Khan has been a Congress leader. He joined the BJP in October 2019 during the last assembly elections. Then the BJP had made Naukshm Chaudhary the candidate from Punhana seat, who is now a BJP MLA from Kaman seat of Rajasthan. Chaudhary had to face defeat in Punhana.
