Food and Safety Department will investigate hotels and restaurants: The Food and Safety Department has canceled the license of La Foresta Restaurant & in Sector-90 in the case of health of five people deteriorating after they were given dry ice instead of mouth freshener after dinner. Now the restaurant will not be able to get a license with this name.
The Food and Safety Department has claimed to have started a campaign to check hotels and restaurants in the city. If deficiencies are detected, reasons for the deficiencies will be asked from restaurant and hotel owners and if satisfactory answers are not received, the license will be cancelled.
Dry ice was given instead of mouth freshener
Investigation revealed that dry ice was given instead of mouth freshener. Khedki Daula police station had registered a case in this matter. The manager and other people were arrested. The Food and Safety Department reached the restaurant and investigated and issued a notice to the restaurant owner to give an explanation.
Now action was taken when no reply was given on the scheduled date. Food and Safety Officer Dr. Ramesh Chauhan said that the license of the restaurant has been cancelled.
