Gurugram news: The health department has found all three samples of drinking water from Vatika Builder’s Lifestyle Homes Society in Sector-83 to have failed the test. On Tuesday, the test report was shared with the maintenance agency and RWA. Maintenance agency Enviro has been ordered to get all three drinking water tanks cleaned within seven days. After cleaning, the health department should be informed. On August 17, Hindustan published a news titled ‘250 people fell ill due to contaminated water in homes’.
After the matter came to light, on August 18, a team from the Primary Health Center of the Health Department of Village Bhangrola inspected this society. Water samples were taken from three water tanks. It was tested in the lab of the Civil Hospital. All three water samples have failed the test. Dr. Praveen Yadav, Health Officer of the Primary Health Center, has written a letter to the maintenance agency and issued orders to get all three water tanks cleaned within a week.
In this case, local resident Rakesh Dixit says that the health department should take strict action against the maintenance agency. Pradeep Sharma said that this negligence is playing with the lives of people. According to Arjun Chauhan, the builder has appointed this maintenance agency. Despite taking maintenance charges from the society residents, this company is not maintaining it properly.
RWA joint secretary Gyanendra Mishra says that it is the moral responsibility of the maintenance agency to supply clean water. Water tanks should be cleaned from time to time, but due to their negligence people fall ill. In this case, the side of Enviro’s estate officer Surendra Dhankhar could not be obtained.
Manoj Saini, RWA general secretary of Vatika Lifestyle Homes, says that RWA has to do the work of the builder and the maintenance agency. Due to their negligence, hundreds of people complained of fever, vomiting and stomach ache. If RWA had not exposed this matter, perhaps the health department officials would not have come to test the water. Despite paying maintenance charges, people’s lives are being played with.
Samples of the water supplied by GMDA have not been taken. Water samples were taken from the society’s water tank, which failed. This happened due to the tank not being cleaned. If GMDA had supplied bad water, then nearby societies would also have faced problems.
