Gurugram news: 47 candidates in the fray for four seats of Gurugram Assembly

Gurugram news: On Tuesday, the last day of withdrawal of nominations under the assembly election process, 15 candidates withdrew their nominations. Now 47 candidates are in the fray for four assembly seats. Voting will be held on all these seats on October 5. District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav said that in the four assembly constituencies of the district, Pataudi, Gurgaon, Badshahpur and Sohna, the respective returning officers allotted election symbols to all the candidates and their election agents present in their court after three o’clock in the afternoon.

He called upon the candidates to maintain the Model Code of Conduct during the entire election process. He said that all candidates should campaign while following the guidelines issued by the Election Commission.

Seven candidates from Pataudi Assembly: Returning Officer Dinesh Luhacha allotted election symbols. After one candidate withdrew his nomination from Pataudi Assembly, now seven candidates are in the fray.

Returning officer Dinesh Luhach allotted election symbols to all seven candidates. In this, key was allotted to Amarnath Jee from JJP, hand symbol to Pearl Chaudhary from Congress, spectacles to Pawan Kumar Bahoda from Indian National Lok Dal, broom to Pradeep Jatoli from Aam Aadmi Party, lotus symbol to Bimla Chaudhary from BJP, air conditioner to independent candidate Satyaveer and apple symbol to Gurdas.

These ten candidates are contesting from Sohna: Returning officer Hoshiyar Singh allotted election symbols to 10 candidates on Monday. After 9 candidates withdrew their nominations in Sohna assembly, now 10 candidates are in the fray. BJP’s Tejpal was allotted lotus flower, Aam Aadmi Party’s Dharmendra was allotted broom, Congress’ Rohtash Singh was allotted hand symbol, Bahujan Samaj Party’s Sundar Bhadana was allotted elephant, Loktantra Suraksha Party’s Ataullah Khan was allotted pressure cooker, Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram)’s Vinesh Kumar was allotted kettle, independent candidate Kalyan Singh was allotted glass, Javed Ahmed was allotted bat, Dayaram was allotted scissors and Subhash Chand was allotted bucket symbol.

13 candidates in the fray from Badshahpur assembly

After 2 candidates withdrew their nominations in Badshahpur assembly, now 13 candidates are in the fray. Returning officer Ankit Choksi allotted election symbols to all of them. Elephant symbol was given to Joginder Singh from BSP, Lotus flower to Narbir Singh from BJP, Broom symbol was given to Bir Singh from AAP, Hand symbol was given to Vardhan Yadav from Congress, Key symbol was given to Surendra Kumar from JJP, Flute symbol was given to Chandrapal from Bharatiya Shakti Chetna Party, Glass symbol was given to Balwan Singh from Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist), Bucket symbol was given to Kumudini Janghu.

There will be a contest between 17 candidates in Gurgaon

After three candidates withdrew their nominations in Gurgaon, now 17 candidates are in the fray. Returning Officer Ravindra Kumar allotted election symbols to all 17 candidates in the presence of Gurgaon’s general observer Narendra Kumar Dugga. JJP’s Ashok Jangra was given key, INLD’s Gaurav Bhati was given spectacles, AAP’s Nishant Anand was given broom, BJP’s Mukesh Sharma was given lotus flower, Congress’ Mohit Grover was given hand symbol, Narendra Kumar was given sewing machine, Mukesh Sharma was given auto rickshaw symbol.
