Gurugram latest news: Illicit liquor manufacturing racket busted in Aravalli Hills

Bhondsi police station has busted a liquor making furnace by doing recce with a drone in the Aravalli hills. Police recovered a huge amount of illicit liquor from the spot and arrested seven accused including a minor. According to the police spokesperson, the police received information that illicit liquor was being made in the Aravalli hills. After this, when the police did a recce with the help of a drone, the information was confirmed. An illicit liquor distillery was running in the middle of the hills. The way to reach there was also difficult. Under the leadership of ACP Sohna Vipin Ahlawat, the team including Bhondsi police station in-charge Mahendra Singh Pathak and Maruti Kunj outpost in-charge Ankit raided the Aravalli hills near Rithouj village and caught the accused making illicit liquor.

The accused were identified as Sachche, Ganga, Manoj, Anil, Khemchand, all residents of Rithoj and Munshiram, resident of Sahajavas, Gurugram. The police recovered 50 liters of raw liquor, a total of 1600 liters of lahan in eight different drums, eight empty plastic drums and two iron drums from the possession of the accused. Apart from this, three empty plastic cans, three filled plastic cans and a pot have also been recovered. A case has been registered under various sections including the Excise Act for the accused setting up an illegal liquor distillery and extracting raw liquor.

Police personnel sweated in the scorching heat

During this operation, the police personnel had to work hard. This raid was conducted at 8 am. The condition of the police personnel worsened while loading the recovered goods in a canter about a kilometer away in the scorching heat. At around 2.30 pm, the drums and other goods also got heated in the scorching sun, due to which the hands of the police personnel also turned red.
