Gurugram Latest News: Gurugram’s railway station will be built on the lines of the airport. Let us tell you that the Prime Minister has given the green signal for this, there will be two floors for the food court in the eight-storey railway station. Passengers will get multilevel parking facility in the station premises itself.
Gurugram railway station will be revamped: Gurugram railway station will be revamped on the lines of an airport at a cost of Rs 295 crore. Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, the railway station will be given a modern touch. In the redevelopment project, the main building of Gurugram Railway Station will be made eight storeys apart from the ground floor. It will have lift, escalator, FOB as well as a two-storey food court. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone through video conferencing for the redevelopment of 554 railway stations in the country and the development works to be done under the redevelopment of Gurugram railway station including 1500 overbridges and underpasses.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address from the national ceremony of Amrit Bharat Station Scheme was broadcast virtually. Addressing the program, Union Minister of State and Gurugram MP Rao Inderjit Singh said that for the last 10 years, new momentum is being given to the development of Railways under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was a practice in the previous governments that the maximum budget of the Railways was spent in the area of the Railway Minister or his states, due to which states like Haryana remained untouched.
He said that by changing this thinking, the Prime Minister has equally taken forward the development of railways in the country. Today, work on railway projects worth Rs 20 thousand crores is going on in Haryana. Haryana state has also received a gift of Rs 2750 crore for railway development in the temporary budget of the Central Government.
On this occasion, former MLA Bimla Chaudhary, former Mayor Madhu Azad, Railway Advisory Committee member Dr. DP Goyal, Railway Member (Revenue) Praveen Kumar, Member (BD) RK Kashyap, Chief Project Manager DK Singh, Railway Station Superintendent Shankar Lal. People from the surrounding areas including Meena, Senior DGM Paras Chandra, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurugram Akhilesh Yadav were present.
An eight-storey building will be built
The redevelopment project of Gurugram Railway Station will see the construction of a new main station building (ground plus eight storeys) and a rooftop plaza/air concourse with a terrace. The roof plaza will connect to both sides of the track. In this project, external development of the station will also be done including easy access and departure on the road, pick and drop point, canopy, green space.

The new eight-storey building will have various facilities for passengers in a state-of-the-art hall on one floor. Four floors will be used commercially and will have facilities like a cafeteria. Apart from this, three floors will be used for railways.
There will be arrangements for parking
To meet the future parking requirements at Gurugram Railway Station, a multilevel car parking (basement, stilt and four) has been planned towards the arrival plaza of the main station building.
It also includes integrated security systems with state-of-the-art technology. Along with this, other development work is also included including removal of cement shed towards Rajendra Park.
