Gurugram Crime news: The accused of raping a three-year-old girl was arrested on Tuesday evening by the Sohna team of Crime Branch and the East Women’s Police Station in a joint action. A reward of Rs 50,000 was announced on him.
The accused has already served a sentence in a rape case
He was repeatedly changing his location after committing the crime to avoid arrest. He has already served a sentence of 10 years in a case of raping a five-year-old girl. He was wanted in two other rape cases. Gurugram Police has contacted the police of other states to ensure that such a rape incident is not committed outside Gurugram and Haryana.
On 26 April this year, a woman had complained in Mahila Thana East that her husband is a contractor. Where she lives, another person also came on 25 April for contracting. He was sleeping outside her room on the night of 25 April. When she woke up at night, she saw that her three-year-old daughter was missing.
The mother found the girl unconscious
She was not found after searching around. That person was also missing. The next day, i.e. on 26 April, her daughter was found unconscious at a distance of 300 meters from the room. There were injury marks on the body. That person tried to do wrong with her daughter. On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under the POCSO Act and the search for the accused was started.
In this, along with the police station, the Sohna team of Crime Branch was also engaged. Based on the information, the joint team of both arrested the 50-year-old accused from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday night with the help of police technology. Earlier, raids were also conducted in Gurugram, Delhi, Jhansi, Pune for his arrest. Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Varun Dahiya said that during interrogation, the accused has admitted to raping the girl.
He has also admitted that in March 2024, he committed the crime of raping a six-year-old boy in Chandla police station area of ​​​​Madhya Pradesh. After committing the crime, he used to go to another city to escape from the police. He used to work as a laborer there for a few days.
During that time, he used to look for a child / girl / minor. As soon as he got a chance, he used to commit the crime of rape and from there he used to go to some other place and start working as a laborer. In the year 2005, he has served 10 years of sentence in the case of raping a five-year-old girl of his own village. After serving his sentence, he came out of jail in the year 2015.
