Gurugram Crime: Cyber thugs called a woman from Gurugram and cheated her of Rs 3 lakh by threatening her that her name will be in the case and facing charges like money laundering. Suchita Banerjee, resident of Sector 69 Tulip Lemon, said in the complaint lodged at the police station that she had recently received a phone call. The caller had identified himself as TRAI.

The thugs, posing as police officers, made a video call on Skype and digitally arrested the woman for about an hour. On the complaint of the woman, a complaint of fraud has been registered in Cyber Police Station South.

Case registered in Govandi police station of Maharashtra
The woman has filed a case against him in Govandi police station in Maharashtra. After this the accused allegedly transferred his call to the police station. On the other hand, an accused, posing as a police officer, digitally arrested the woman and interrogated her over Skype video call for about 49 minutes.
