Gurugram Breaking News: Religious place attacked in Gurugram, one killed and two injured

There was a ruckus in Gurugram’s Sector 57 area late on Monday night. Some anti-social elements set fire to a religious place. One person died in the attack. Two people got injured there. The police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Following tension in Nuh, some people set ablaze an under-construction building in Sector 57 of Gurugram. It is being told that there was a religious place in the basement of the building. Two fire tenders have brought the fire under control. A bike was also burnt in the fire. Police has reached the spot.

Religious place attacked. One has died in the attack, while two are injured. Heavy police force has been deployed in the entire area. In Gurugram, police force has been deployed in areas where people from minority communities live.

In view of Nuh’s ruckus, Section-144 is also applicable in Gurugram.

District Magistrate and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav has implemented section 144 for better compliance of law and maintaining peace in the district. In this regard, instructions have been issued by the District Magistrate on Monday evening. Deputy Commissioner’s order to maintain peace and law and order in the district till further orders by implementing section 144 and ensuring compliance of the orders.

Blocking and gathering of five or more persons in a public place, carrying any type of licensed weapon or fire arms, sword, gandasa, lathi, spear, axe, jelly, knife and other weapons have been banned. There was a ruckus in Nuh on Monday

Two Home Guard jawans were killed and several policemen and around 24 people were injured in stone pelting and firing during the Brajmandal 84 Corps Shobha Yatra taken out by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Matri Shakti Durga Vahini and Bajrang Dal on Monday. Along with the people involved in the yatra, stones were also pelted at the policemen.

Meanwhile the rioters started arson. Many vehicles were vandalized and set on fire. Internet service has been suspended till Wednesday by imposing Section-144 in the entire district following communal tension. Along with this, the boundaries of the district have also been sealed.

Around 12 policemen were injured in the violence and eight of them were hospitalised, an official said. Among the injured, Hodal Deputy Superintendent of Police Sajjan Singh was shot in the head and an inspector in the stomach. At least four cars are seen burning in a video clip. Another video shows two damaged police cars. Gunshots can also be heard in the clip.

According to police officials, as soon as the yatra started from the Nalheshwar Mahadev Temple in Nalhar, a Muslim-majority town in Nuh, some youths from the community started pelting stones and raising slogans. About 24 people were injured in the uproar that lasted from noon to evening. All have been admitted to different hospitals.

Home guard jawan Neeraj died due to bullet injury. Neeraj had reached the spot with the Gurugram Police Force. Nuh district administration called police force from other districts to deal with the situation. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Matri Shakti Durga Vahini had announced to take out Brajmandal Yatra on Monday.

This yatra is being taken out for the last three years. The yatra was to start from Nuh via Firozpur Jhirka and reach the temple located in Singar village of Punhana. As soon as the procession left for Ferozepur Jhirka from Nalhad Shiv Temple in Nuh at around 1.30 pm, as soon as it reached Shaheedi Park, some youths of a community had already gathered there.

As soon as they came face to face, there was a dispute between the two sides. Stone pelting started in no time. Policemen accompanying the procession tried to control the situation, but the crowd went out of control. The miscreants involved in the crowd set some vehicles on fire.
