A massive fire broke out last night at the Krishna Furniture showroom located at Atul Kataria Chowk in Gurugram, which was brought under control by the fire department with the help of more than 20 vehicles after about five hours of hard work. Although the main showroom was destroyed, no one was injured.
Last night, a massive fire broke out at the Krishna Furniture Showroom at Atul Kataria Chowk. The fire, which began at 12:40 a.m., was brought under control by the fire department after five hours of effort. Preliminary investigations suggest a short circuit as the cause of the fire.
The fire department swung into action quickly.
Fire Officer Narendra Kumar said, “We received a report of a fire in the shops. Two vehicles were immediately dispatched, and all fire stations were alerted and additional vehicles were called in.” A total of more than 20 fire engines extinguished the fire and saved the surrounding shops.

Damage and Investigation
The fire destroyed the main portion of the showroom, causing losses worth millions of rupees. Goods in the basement and upper floors remained unharmed. There were no casualties. An investigation into the short circuit and safety measures is underway. The fire department’s prompt action averted a major tragedy.
