Gurugram. A speeding car hit two people on KMP Expressway near Farrukhnagar late on Sunday night. Both died on the spot. After the collision, the accused driver fled along with the car.
KMP Expressway patrolling team attempted to give chase, but did not succeed. The deceased were originally identified as Jaikishan Sahni (26), resident of village Planting Chhapra in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh and Sonbir (26), resident of Pant Kheda village in Agra district.
Both work at toll plaza
Both worked at KMP toll plaza. Standing on the side of the expressway, he was waiting for someone at around 11.15 pm. At the same time, a speeding car coming from Badli crushed both of them. On the complaint of toll worker Deepak Kumar, Farukhnagar police station has registered a case and started investigation.
Number plate of a car found
The number plate of a vehicle has been found at the spot. On the basis of this the accused is being identified. Complainant Deepak told that Sonbir worked as an electric mechanic while Jaikishan worked as an assistant on a crane.
Despite all efforts, road accidents are not being controlled in the district. Every year, on an average, more than 400 people are dying in road accidents. Five people have died in the last one week.
