Gurugram Accident News: Speeding car hits toll plaza workers in Gurugram, two killed

Gurugram Accident News: A heart-wrenching road accident took place on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway late on Sunday night. It is said that a speeding car crushed two toll workers.

Both died on the spot. After the accident, the driver fled with the car. The police have taken the body in their custody and registered a case against the driver under various sections at Farrukhnagar police station and started investigation. Police say that the number of the car has been known, soon the accused will be in the clutches of the law.

26-year-old Jaikishan Sahni, originally a resident of Deoria, UP, and 26-year-old Sonbir, a resident of Agra, used to work at the toll plaza near Farrukhnagar on KMP. Sonbir was an electric mechanic and Jaikishan was an assistant on the crane. Both of them were standing on the side of the expressway at around 11.15 pm on Sunday night, waiting for someone.

Meanwhile, a high speed Tata Maximo coming from Badli crushed both of them. Both died on the spot. KMP Expressway patrolling team tried to chase the accused, but he escaped. On the complaint of toll worker Deepak Kumar, resident of Bhiwani, the police have registered a case and started investigation.

Farrukhnagar police station in-charge said that a case has been registered. The car is being identified with the help of CCTV cameras installed at KMP. The accused will be arrested soon. Deepak has said in his complaint that at night Jaikishan Sahni (21) and Sonbir alias Monu were waiting for someone near Farrukhnagar MP Toll. He was hit by a speeding car at around 11 pm.

Deepak also told that the person driving the car stopped at the spot but when he saw that two people were seriously injured in the accident, he ran away. I noted down the car number. When I reached the spot, I found both of them dead. Police said that an FIR has been registered against the unknown driver at Farrukhnagar police station on charges of IPC sections 279 (negligent driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence). After post-mortem, the dead bodies have been handed over to the relatives. Efforts are going on to nab the accused.
