Gurugram news : After regularization of these colonies, basic facilities like roads, sewers, drinking water and street lights will be provided. Lakhs of colony residents will benefit from this. To avail basic facilities in the colonies, local residents will have to deposit development fees in the civic bodies. According to the rules, due to these colonies being illegal, road construction, drinking water connections and installation of street lights could not be done in them.
23 illegal colonies of the district have been regularized. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Urban Local Bodies Department. Illegal colonies in Gurugram Corporation area, Farukhnagar, Pataudi and Sohna area of the district have been regularized.
20 colonies have already been regularized
After regularization of these colonies, basic facilities like roads, sewers and drinking water and street lights will be provided. Lakhs of colony residents will benefit from this. Let us tell you that a proposal to regularize a total of 35 colonies was sent to the government by Gurugram Municipal Corporation. Out of which twenty colonies have already been regularized. 15 colonies are yet to be regularized.
