Flood like situation in Gurugram, Delhi-Jaipur highway jammed for 12 km, water entered cars

Due to heavy rains, there is a jam from Subhash Chowk to Rajiv Chowk and Signature Tower. There is also a jam on the service lane from Chowk to Delhi Gurugram Expressway. After heavy rains, the situation in Gurugram has worsened. There has been a jam on the Delhi-Jaipur highway in Gurugram for several hours. This jam is more than 12 km long. There is a situation of a huge jam here. Due to waterlogging on the highway, water entered the cars. Due to slow speed, many vehicles have run out of petrol, which are standing on the highway. Flood-like conditions have arisen in Gurugram city.

If no solution is found, the situation may worsen due to rain. Due to heavy rain at around 7.15 in the evening, people are stuck in traffic jams on the roads. There is a jam from Subhash Chowk to Rajiv Chowk and Signature Tower in Gurugram. There is also a jam from Chowk to the service lane of Delhi-Gurugram Expressway.

Vehicles crawling on the highway

Due to rain, there was a 12 km long traffic jam from Hero Honda Chowk to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza. Vehicles are crawling in the traffic jam for several hours. Let us tell you that due to heavy rain on this highway, waterlogging occurs in the surrounding area including the service lane. The traffic load is also high in the evening from 5:30 pm to 10 pm.

Relief and trouble from rain

Along with the city, Manesar area also received good rainfall. After six o’clock in the evening, the sky was covered with thick clouds. The weather became pleasant due to rain. The minimum temperature was recorded at 30.3 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 37.9 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is expected in the area till August 2. Let us tell you that it has rained six to seven times in the entire month of July, but due to lack of heavy rain, the heat was not reducing.

Waterlogging occurred at many places in the city

After the rain, waterlogging occurred on the roads in many areas including Sector 15 Part Two, Sushant Lok, IFFCO Chowk area, New Colony, Sector Four-Seven, Basai, Kadipur, Rajendra Park, Laxman Vihar, Khandsa, Pataudi Road, Service lane of Delhi-Jaipur Highway in Narsinghpur, near Rajiv Chowk parking, Old Delhi Road, Sector 31, Jharssa Road.

Drains not cleaned

Due to the Municipal Corporation and GMDA not cleaning the drains, there is waterlogging in many places even in light rain. The Municipal Corporation is now inviting tenders for cleaning the drains. A week ago, there was heavy waterlogging in Sushant Lok 2 and 3 due to the GMDA not cleaning the drains.
