After this the cyber thugs sent a link on his WhatsApp. The accused also downloaded a share buying app in his mobile. After this he was asked to buy shares. Initially he bought shares by depositing Rs 50 thousand. Profits also started appearing on the app.
Then lakhs of rupees were invested
After this, he gradually invested lakhs of rupees. When he tried to withdraw the money, the money did not come out. The cyber thugs running the app made them deposit money in the name of security money to get money from them. Three crore rupees were defrauded from him through one transfer after another.
When he could not withdraw the money, he realized that he had been cheated. When he contacted the mobile phones of the accused, they were found switched off. Cyber West Police has started investigation after registering the case. It is said that Ketan runs a clothing related business in Udyog Vihar.
