Gurugram. The enforcement wing of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) inspected three places in the city. Encroachment was found at these places. DTP and Nodal Officer RS Bath said that the encroachment will be removed within 48 hours.
First of all, the encroachers have been asked to remove the encroachment themselves. Strict action will be taken if the rules are not followed.
The GMDA team first visited the green belt of SPR, which was recently cleared of about 60 acres by removing both temporary and permanent structures and it was found that kiosks etc had been re-erected by some people.
Slums built at Wazirabad Chowk
Apart from this the team visited Wazirpur Chowk where nomads and some slum dwellers have come and the DTP along with traffic police and the team of Municipal Corporation, GMDA and Raahgiri Foundation visited the place and directed to remove them within 24 hours.
The team included ATP Mange Ram, ATP Satinder Arya, JE Ashish Tyagi, JE Sumit Bura, corporation team and traffic in-charge Ram Krishna.
Illegal parking going on in Sikandarpur
After this, the GMDA team visited two places near Sikanderpur metro station where building construction material and illegal parking was going on. In Sikanderpur Furniture Market, the material had extended to the footpath and it was also found that some carts have been placed illegally on the footpath.
Which are also being run by local people. The DTP strictly instructed them to clear the footpath within 48 hours and in some places the material was removed immediately and asked to clear almost one kilometer long footpath.
Many intersections and roads will be made encroachment free in a month. For this, the enforcement team is continuously taking action against encroachment.
