Attention! Those traveling on Dwarka Expressway should be alert otherwise there will be big loss.

Gurugram News, Dwarka Expressway: If you also travel on Dwarka Expressway, then this news is important for you. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has completed preparations to keep an eye on vehicles on Dwarka Expressway. Soon, speed and surveillance cameras will be installed here to control unruly drivers. NHAI has taken this step only to prevent accidents happening on the roads every day. These cameras will be installed not only on Dwarka Expressway but also on NH-48. Its work has been allotted to a company. These cameras will be installed in the next six months.

According to NHAI officials, their control room will be built at the toll plaza near village Bajgheda on Delhi Gurugram border on Dwarka Expressway. Let us tell you that on March 11, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated this Dwarka Expressway. After the commencement of this 29 kilometer long expressway, the speed of vehicles on it remains more than 120 km per hour, whereas NHAI has set the speed of 100 km per hour to run on this expressway. Apart from this, cases of driving in the wrong direction on the expressway are also coming to light, which are currently being dealt with by the traffic policemen, but it is necessary to show more strictness and conduct surveillance here.

Officials said that even before the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct, a contract for installing speed and surveillance cameras has been allotted to a company. 60 speed and surveillance cameras will be installed on Dwarka Expressway. Five cameras will be installed on the cloverleaf of NH-48 and Dwarka Expressway. There is a plan to install 60 cameras on NH-48 from Mahipalpur in Delhi to Kherkidaula Toll Plaza. This will cost around Rs 25 crore.

Officials said that this work will start on the ground in the next 15 days. After completion of this work in six months, the expressway will be monitored from the control room and action will be taken against those violating traffic rules from here itself. Even if any accident happens on the expressway, with the help of these cameras, help will reach the spot within 10 minutes by keeping an eye on it.
